Former NRP All-Stater prepares for Soph campaign at DI Evansville

Mike Leazer ('12) returns to the University of Evansville for his sophomore season.  Mike was an IBCA 4th Team All-State selection during his senior season at NRP when he led the Knights to 19 overall wins, the Battle of the 'Ridge Thanksgiving Tournament championship, an undefeated home record, and the Finals of the IHSA Class 2A Regional.  Mike and his Purple Aces teammates are currently taking summer school classes and working out daily as a team in their quest to win a Missouri Valley Championship and an NCAA bid next season.

NRP Basketball Manager Johnny Romano '10 Represents Notre Dame Athletics!

Former NRP Basketball manager, Johnny Romano '10 (pictured above in NYC NASDAQ teletron), is the 2013-14 University of Notre Dame Leprechaun.  The Leprechaun is the official school athletic mascot and is chosen each spring through a rigorous tryout process that is open to all Notre Dame students.  Among Johnny's duties are leading athletic pep rallies and cheering at football and basketball games, representing the University at many public events, and generally serving as the face of Fighting Irish Athletics.   



The Leprechaun with all the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) mascots at a recent conference promotional event in New York City.  Johnny Romano was a varsity basketball manager for the Knights from 2007-2010.
